Make your own....
Was just curious if anyone knows of a website that has ways to make your own soap, toothpaste and whatnot. I know there's individual sites but I want to see if there's an all inclusive site, all I can find right now is how to make my own snowflakes... I appreciate any help and don't break your backs looking. :-)

Re: Make your own....
Much appreciated guys, Both of those sites were more than what I was looking for. Are there any terms I can look for to get sites like that? I was looking up "How to Make" or "make your own" and couldn't get a whole lot since it's not very specific.
Grad, I could find the individual stuff but not a site that encompassed it all, which is what I wanted for orginazational purposes :-) I appreciate it though. Mantokir |

Hi Mantokir,
Take a look at http://www.refdesk.com/doitself.html from www.doityourself.com and see if that is what you're looking for. Use their search function to see if they have what you want. Not a bad site for a basic info piece, though I always check more specialized sources before undertaking anything I don't know how to do. If your interest is soapmaking I may be able to help you. I posted a thread about it last year sometime in this subforum. Didn't have specific detailed instructions though, and I'm still an idiot when it comes to posting photos,--I kept meaning to put together a more detailed 'how to' guide in that thread , with pictures and stuff, just never got around to it. Besides others have put the same stuff up elsewhere on the web. Been a soaper for a while though and can probably answer some of the questions you may have. |

Found it Momo.. :-) Sounds pretty interesting and from what I recall it's something like 68 cents a gallon for laundry soap, dunno about bar soap but that would help in getting money together as well. This whole survival prep thing is enlightining.... |
